About me

Hi, I’m Katie, and I work with counsellors in private practice who want a bespoke website that feels like them - authentic, professional, and something they can be proud of.

I spent many years working for tech companies, mainly testing software, which gave me a strong eye for detail and a love of spotting what works (and what doesn’t!) - something that’s been invaluable when building and refining websites.

For the past decade, I’ve worked for a teenage mental health charity in London, managing their apps and websites.

That role gave me a mix of mental health understanding and technical experience - learning how to communicate clearly with people seeking support, and how to create online experiences that feel calm and reassuring.

I’ve always loved design and creativity, and over time I realised I was missing that side of my work.

Then a good friend started her counselling practice.

She’d put together a basic website, but between managing clients, admin and everything else that comes with running a practice, she didn’t have the time to make it feel right - or to reflect who she really was as a therapist.

So I said, “I’ll help.”

Working with her showed me something I hadn’t fully appreciated: counsellors need websites that do more than exist. They need sites that reflect their practice, communicate trust, and help the right clients feel confident reaching out. And most counsellors simply don’t have the time, technical knowledge or headspace to create that themselves.

That's why I started Lancha.

When I’m not designing websites, you’ll probably find me in the garden (I love garden design and the creativity it brings) or practising Pilates. I live just outside London, near a beautiful old park established by Henry VIII, with my two teenage kids who keep life lively.

I’m also a strong believer in the power of counselling and therapy, which is one of the reasons I love working with counsellors so much.

If you’re ready for a website that feels genuinely like you, and helps the right clients feel confident reaching out, I’d love to hear from you.
